Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival

Every year at this time this town goes through its annual rite-of-passage called the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival.    This year is the 80th.    This is a big deal for a lot of people around here.    Two big parades, fireworks, luncheons, dances for all ages, bluegrass, antique car show, a queen with a coronation, a 10k race and too many other things to even try to remember.    But, even with all that, or perhaps because of it, if it weren't for grandkids, we'd split.

As it is, you can expect to see several photos of the festivities over the next several posts.    Sorry.
