23andMe - to offer separate Health and Ancestry editions

Beginning November 19, 23andMe is changing their business model by separating their health and ancestry functions.    You can read their description here:    The Spittoon blog

Please note that if you had any thoughts of doing this testing, you will need to sign up by the 18th in order to get the Complete Edition for the $399 price.

P.S. Well, maybe not.    I've just seen some postings indicating that 23andMe may be "looking into promotions (i.e. sales) for Black Friday and the holidays."    Your guess is as good as mine.

P.P.S. I just had another thought.    If you wait for a 'sale' you will not have access to the raw SNP data without buying the Complete Edition at whatever their 'sale' reduction might be from the $499 price.
