Our son, Jon, is a free-lance graphic designer in Los Angeles.    One of his jobs has been doing the Olympics for NBC since the Torino games.    Right now he's just finishing up in Vancouver and part of what he does is called 'Bumpers'.    Here are a couple examples of his work (on the monitors).
