Waiting at Rainbow Bridge
July 14, 1996 - January 9, 2012
Just this side of heaven is a place called the Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to the Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head. You look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together…

Kudos Phantom! You were a wonderful Lady! You made your mark here in the hearts of many and will not be forgotten..
I am soo very sorry for your loss. 15 years for a Weimaraner is a very long life. We always want one more day though don't we? My Weimy, Jackson, is 6 and he is one of my great loves. Please know your girl will be with you again one day.
I'm so sorry Jim.
I don't know if it helps to know that now, thanks to Rainbow Bridge, we are all crying with you!
X Kate
I am glad I had a chance to meet her when I visited last year. The reciprocated love was clearly shining between all of you that day.
Sorry for your loss, Jim. Thinking of you.
Jim and Betty,
No dog ever had better owners. I remember with joy the puppy Phantom riding along to Bowling Green so he could have his bathroom walk.
Gail
Rainbow Bridge says it all. She'll be missed but she'll be waiting. Meanwhile Phanton is once again Phantom enjoying her new life. Comforting to know.
Dear Jim and Betty,
We send our heartfelt condolences. We lost old, dear, family cat 6 months ago. We have a new cat now that is a rescue. He'll never replace Raku but he is really good at being a Reuben. Sending healing thoughts your way. May your heart be filled with all good memories. What a lucky dog to have had you. xo, Erynn and Carl
