five years and 4000 deaths later
I saw a report of a survey the other day that both astounded and saddened me. The report was that only 28% of the U.S. public know that 4000 U.S. service members have now been killed in "W"'s War. Nearly half of us think that less than 3000 have been killed! Not entirely our fault since coverage seems to have dropped from the news even though our kids are still dying there every day.
In our country's longest war - - - we invaded Iraq on March 20, 2003
3,992 U.S. service members have been killed,
29,314 U.S. service members have been wounded, in
"W"'s War.
